Seller Terms
These terms are intended to clarify the policies and procedures for operating on the SYRIACart platform to ensure a smooth and successful experience for you as a seller and for our valued customers.
1. Account Registration and Approval
- Registration Requirements: Valid personal/business information, commercial license, bank account details.
- Review and Approval Process: Typical review timeframe and possible reasons for rejection.
- Account Security: The seller is fully responsible for maintaining the security of their account and password.
2. Product Listing Policies
- Permitted and Prohibited Products:
- A clear list (e.g., counterfeit goods, unlicensed medications, weapons, or any product that violates public decency under Syrian law are prohibited).
- Content Quality:
- Image requirements (high clarity, white/neutral background, multiple angles).
- Product descriptions (accurate, comprehensive, primarily in Arabic, free of spelling errors).
- Proper categorization.
- Stock and Pricing:
- Immediate updates when stock runs out.
- Accurate pricing (including any applicable taxes or additional fees).
3. Order and Shipping Policies
- Order Processing: Orders must be confirmed and prepared for delivery within 1–3 business days.
- Shipping Tracking: Tracking numbers must be entered into the system immediately after dispatch.
- Shipping Costs: Shared model — cost responsibilities are agreed upon between the seller and the platform.
4. Payment and Commission Policies
- Additional Fees: Store setup fees, payment processing fees.
- Payout Cycle: Every two weeks via direct bank transfer to the seller’s registered account.
- Earnings Eligibility: Payouts are made only after the customer receives the order and the return window has passed.
5. Customer Service and Returns
- Return/Exchange Period: 7 days from the customer’s receipt of the order.
- Eligibility Criteria: Item must be in original condition, with packaging and invoice.
- Return Process: Initiated by the customer via the platform.
- Seller’s Role: Review and approve the return request and provide a return address.
- Return Shipping Costs: Responsibility depends on the reason — seller bears the cost for defective/wrong items; the buyer may pay for change-of-mind returns in accordance with platform policy.
6. Ratings and Reviews
- Integrity Policy: Fake reviews are strictly prohibited.
- Negative Feedback: Sellers are expected to handle negative reviews constructively.
7. Account Suspension/Ban
- Disciplinary Actions: Warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent ban in case of violations.
- Common Reasons for Ban: Clear explanation of typical violations that result in account action.
8. Updates to Terms
- Policy Updates: SYRIACart reserves the right to update these terms with reasonable notice provided to sellers.
